This is a wonderful picture book that explains and breaks down stimming in a way that’s easy for kids to understand. It’s not just for children, though—adults will also find it helpful for learning why kids might engage in certain behaviors. The illustrations are amazing, too.

The first thing that caught my eye about this book was the cute little pink monster on the cover. I needed to see more of this cute little monster. The visuals were amazing. I loved the contrast of the vibrant pinkness that Betty emitted around her. A wonderful story about being true to yourself and not needing to conform to societal norms and be your true cute pink self.

The Queen on Our Corner" is a touching story that reminds us of the power of community and empathy. When a fire destroys her home, the 'queen' of the corner, a homeless woman, risks her life to warn her neighbors. One young girl sees beyond the woman's homelessness, recognizing her as someone who has endured hardship. The child's perspective, full of imagination, portrays the woman as a queen, highlighting how children can view the world with kindness and compassion. The story encourages understanding and action, urging the community to come together and help those in need. It's a beautiful reminder to not only notice the struggles of others but to support them in meaningful ways.

A young magician's apprentice sets out for revenge against a rival magician, only to uncover a far more sinister scheme. This dual-perspective tale alternates between Bartimaeus, whose wit and wisdom add humor to the story, and Nathaniel, whose viewpoint is more serious and short-sighted. It is a wonderful journey and entry into the series.
