Library Closed for Planned Construction
Due to winter storm Uri construction was delayed a week. Library services are suspended until the construction is complete, which is now estimated to be March 8th. We will not charge fines and your checkouts will be extended during this time, as our dropbox will be inaccessible for book returns. Follow us for updates on our website and social media. The Dickinson Public Library has closed in response to the rise of COVID cases in the City of Dickinson and surrounding areas. The library is dedicated in providing the safest environment for our community and staff members. While the library is closed you may still reserve materials online for curbside service. We will not be applying fines during this time for late returns though we do encourage you to either return your checked out materials through curbside service or our drop-off window on the side of the building. Adult Programs that is offer at Dickinson Public Library

Our IT librarian offers free adult computer classes on Tuesdays morning at 10 am each month, covering various computer topics. Taking computer classes will help further patrons' knowledge of computer skills and give patrons more confidence when using a computer or other devices. We offer both primary and intermediate courses, and all Tuesdays classes are 1 hour in length, and Friday classes (vary monthly) are 1.5 hours in length.
Reader's Round Table
Join us second Tuesday each month at 1 pm for Reader's Round Table. Adult participants may share book reviews, discuss similar books and authors, or listen for useful suggestions.
Want to create something? Need some inspiration or direction? Join Dickinson Public Library every 3rd Tuesday at 4:30 pm as we host a monthly creative space that enables you to design, prototype, and ultimately make your dream a reality.
Crochet and Knitting Group
Third Thursday each month at 1 pm. Learn to knit and crochet, start a new project, or bring one from home. Free and open to all.
